Your profile by week
The You tab and friends' profiles as a row of days for each week.
Since build 7
Your profile (the You tab) and a friend's profile show shots one week at a time, with a tile for each day you shot. It reads like a contact sheet: this week at the top, older weeks as you scroll down.
What's on a profile
From the top:
- Selects. Your favorite shots play across the top, as before.
- Name and photo. Your name on the left, your photo on the right. Under the name: your username and how many friends you have. Tap the friend count to open People.
- Weeks shared. How many weeks (Monday to Sunday) you've shared at least one shot with friends. Shots you keep private don't count.
- Last shot. When your newest shared shot was taken, like "Yesterday, 6:40 PM". It shows once you've shared one.
- Buttons. On your own profile: Edit profile, Invite (sends an invite link), and the gear, which opens Settings. On a friend's profile: the Friends button and, beside it, Instant (build 14), which opens the Instant camera ready to send to them; More at the top right has Mute, Remove friend, Block and Report.
- Journal, Recaps, Private. Journal is what you've shared with friends. Private is what you kept to yourself; only you see it. Recaps are the monthly videos and haven't changed. A friend's profile has Journal and Recaps.
The weeks
Each week starts with its number and dates, like "Week 42, Oct 12 to 18". A week that runs into the next month says so ("Sep 28 to Oct 4"), and so does one across New Year ("Dec 29 to Jan 4"). Weeks from an earlier year show the year too.
Under the heading is a row of day tiles, Monday first. Only days with shots get a tile. Each tile shows the first shot of that day, the day's name at the bottom ("Mon"), and a number at the top right when there's more than one shot that day. Swipe the row sideways to see the rest of the week.
Weeks are counted by the day of your roll, the same day the camera and the feed use, so a shot taken just after midnight lands with the rest of that night's roll.
Using it
- Open a day: tap its tile. The shot opens full screen. Tap the right of the photo for the day's next shot, the left third for the one before; past the day's last shot a tap goes on to the next day, and past its first back to the day before, so tapping alone goes through everything. Only at the very ends does the photo just nudge. Swipe left for the next day, right for the day before, all the way through the Journal (or, from Private, every private one), and older days load as you go. Each day keeps the shot you were on. Segments across the top and "2 / 5" show where you are in the day.
- Selects, Private, Delete: open the shot, then tap More. On your own shots More has Move to Private (or Share with friends), Add to Selects (or Remove from Selects), a note, and Delete. Tiles don't do anything on a long press anymore.
- Report a friend's shot: open it, then More, then Report this shot.
- Older weeks: keep scrolling. Older shots load as you go, and a week that was cut off fills in.
- Refresh: pull down at the top.
Screens are described in detail in 05-screens.md, 07 You.
