Your username
Change your @username once every 30 days from Edit profile; your old one stays yours for 14 days, so you can switch back.
Since build 17
Your username is the @name friends find you by. You pick it when you join, and you can change it from Edit profile, then Username.
Changing it
- Once every 30 days. Type a new one and Durpin checks it as you go, the same as when you joined: 3 to 20 letters, numbers or underscores. Save asks once more, and says when you can change it again.
- Everything comes with you. Friends, shots, likes, comments and Instants belong to your account, not your username, so nothing is lost. Friends see the new username the next time Durpin loads your profile. Invite and friend links keep working.
- An @mention typed into an old comment stays as it was written, with your old username.
Your old username
- It stays yours for 14 days. Nobody else can take it, so nobody can pose as you with it.
- You can switch back in those days, even inside the 30, from the same screen: "Switch back to @old". It doesn't give you another change, though: your next new username is still 30 days from the change you undid.
- After 14 days it's free for anyone to pick.
